Juris Efneris is a multidisciplinary artist and creative individual based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Specializing in conceptual and social fashion design with a strong emphasis on sustainability and upcycling, Juris seamlessly blends multimedia design to create thought-provoking and impactful works.

--------- ARTIST STATEMENT:

As an artist, I endeavor to challenge and redefine the boundaries of fashion and design by weaving social and environmental consciousness into my creations. I believe that fashion can be a powerful vehicle for communication and change. By utilizing sustainable and upcycled materials, I aim to craft pieces that not only captivate the eye but also provoke thought and dialogue about the pressing issues of our time. My work is an emotional and reflective fusion of art and design, with each creation telling a story and inviting viewers to engage in a deeper conversation about the world around us.

I delve into the human condition, exploring fundamental processes of thought and expression through my creations. My work evolves as a form of reflection and resistance, presenting collections that are meaningful, sustainable, and timely. Embracing a circular approach—redesign, rethink, recycle, and upcycle—I strive to raise awareness about our planet’s future. I believe that altering behavior begins with changing values and perceptions.

My multidisciplinary practice spans drawing, painting, photography, and video art alongside my fashion-related work. This allows me to explore various mediums and expand the narrative and emotional depth of my projects.
